The tenth annual Barbara Burnett Smith Aspiring Writers and Mentors introduced seven aspiring writers to the Heart of Texas Chapter and guests.

W. D. Smith, son of Barbara Burnett Smith, spoke about his mother and presented certificates and copies of Ms. Burnett’s books to the Aspiring Writers.

Mentor and HOTXSINC member Russ Hall spoke about mentorship and about writing.

Following the opening remarks, mentors introduced Aspiring Writers, who then read the entries they had submitted to the BBSAWE project.
