Twisted Villains & Wounded Heroes

A Counselor’s

into Troubled Minds

We often write about extremes of human behavior and its aftermath. To be believable, it helps to understand desperate motives and how extreme events shape our lives. Join Bill Woodburn, MEd, LPC-S, LMFT-S, author and counselor for a Q&A session about your characters actions and reactions.

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERASince 1988, Bill Woodburn has been a counselor, teacher, and workshop presenter. Coming from a family of storytellers, he’s fascinated by the stories each of us lives out. His passion is discovering how our stories intersect and heal individuals, relationships, and communities.

In his writing life, Bill enjoys indulging his love of history to create murder mysteries set from 1960’s Berkeley to the Third Reich.

A Word from the President

by Noreen Cedeño

I am looking forward to a great year for our Heart of Texas Chapter! We have wonderful, supportive members who are happy to share their wisdom and resources with the group. Our members rock! Please continue to send any publishing successes, calls for submissions, useful marketing tips, or other information to the board so that we can relay the information to our membership.

Thank you for your patience as we try to locate a ‘permanent’ home for our meetings. While we wish the location would be convenient for all of our members, we realize that this is not a realistic possibility. We have to take pricing, availability of the location, availability of parking, suitability for holding our meetings (noise level, ability to use projectors or audio-visual equipment), and other factors into account. Finding suitable locations has been a challenge for our board and I would like to thank the board members for their hard work in trying to solve this problem.

And next year’s words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning. ~ T. S. Eliot

I’ll never understand why everybody puts so much emphasis on January first.
