August 10 – Meg Gardiner Speaks About Story Building


Meg GardinerOn August 10, Sisters in Crime: Heart of Texas chapter will present well-known thriller novelist Meg Gardiner as our speaker at Recycled Reads at 5335 Burnet Road.

Her latest crime novel, Phantom Instinct, is now on the shelves of your favorite bookstore. She has written many pulse-pounding crime novels.

She will present a program on Story Building: Getting from Idea to Final Draft. The author will describe how she went from her first attempts at writing to getting published, and about some of the major building blocks of a crime novel.

Meg Gardiner is an Edgar Award-winning American crime writer, who lives in Austin, Texas. Her best-known books are the Evan Delaney novels. In June 2008, she published the first novel in a new series, featuring forensic psychiatrist Jo Beckett.  More recently she has published three stand-alone novels: Ransom River (June 2012), The Shadow Tracer (June 2013), and Phantom Instinct (June 2014).
